The Rev. Dr. Dwayne E. Brown, a native of Columbus, Ohio, was licensed to the Gospel Ministry through the Union Grove Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio under the pastorate of the late Dr. Phale D. Hale. He was ordained at the First Baptist Church of Marshall Heights, Washington, DC under theguidance of Senior Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Lehman D. Bates. Dr. Brown is the former pastor of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio where he shepherded for seven years. Prior to being called to pastor of First Baptist Church of Warrenton, Virginia; he served on the ministerial staff at First Bethel Baptist Church in Camp Springs, Maryland, under the auspice of the Rev. Dr. Lehman D. Bates. Additionally, he served as the Christian Chaplain at Mount St. Mary’s University and as a Hospice Chaplain with Life Bridge Hospice.
Dr. Brown’s educational studies have culminated in an earned PhD in Biomedical Science from the National Institutes of Health – Graduate Partnerships Program, a Master of Divinity degree from The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University; a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University; and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from the Tri-County Bible College and Seminary. He served over twenty years in the United States Navy Medical Service Corps; has over fifteen years of teaching experience with Fredrick County Maryland Public School and Frederick Community College. He is currently employed by the District of Columbia Department of Forensic Sciences as a Forensic Scientist.
Dr. Brown is a spiritually pragmatic preacher, profound teacher, loving and devoted man of God. Dr. Dwayne E. Brown seeks to be a positive motivator of individuals and groups, encouraging them to achieve their full potential. As he fulfills his responsibilities in the ministry, through his broad travels and studies around the world, which include Africa, the Caribbean, England and the West Indies, the Gospel of Jesus Christ through him receives enlightened meaning.
