The ladies in the Deaconess ministry assist the pastor and Deacons in maintaining the spirituality in the Church. They are listening ears and encourage those who may be in distress. They support, pray for others, and serve the needs of the First Baptist congregation and neighboring community.
Deaconesses play a major role in the two ordinances of the church—Baptism and the Holy Communion— aiding candidates for Baptism and preparing the Lord’s Supper.

Deacon Ministry
Deacons are dedicated to serving God and protecting the spirituality in the Church. The men in this Ministry go through catechism and ordination. Their goal is to demonstrate and foster Biblical principles and servant leadership to the Church members and the outer community.
